Urban and Rural Development Organization (URDO) is one of the indigenous organizations in Kenya, Somalia and Nigeria. The organization was established in 2006 to urgently address the situation of poverty in Africa through empowerment of youth and women to ensure realization of millennium development goals.

Since its establishment URDO-International has carried out several activities in Somali Kenya and Nigeria In addition, URDO Civil Society Forum was established to ensure that the African family unit lives a dignified life through peace building and conflict prevention, promoting social justice, civic participation, capacity building, empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.

VISION

To promote a life of freedom, justice, peace and dignity to everyone regardless of race, ethnicity and sex in the horn of Africa.

MISSION

To work together for socio- economic development in the target societies through strengthening their capacity, implementation of economic empowerment programs, humanitarian initiatives as well as protection interventions using participatory approach at all levels of communities
